Elven 3 is about converting bad guys to good guys and ganging up many weak units to take down a tough unit. Commonwealth 3 is about military might and costs. C4 is about chopping trees, biding your time, and machines don't have opinions. Take the Goblin town to the left, then come back and into the underground, then head south. If you need time to take that town have Reskar continue south through the one-way teleporter. Then, have him take the egg north to the dragons. Until you become good, use Reskar's breakfast buff so the Gold Dragon does not fumble while you are neutral. Use quick save before fights! I have a button on my mouse dedicated to it. Your hero skills that affect the whole team are great. The hero who has them must be the leader of the team for them to work, though.

Before the last kill, use up your heals and other skills.

Heal skills on your heroes in the main map go from highest tier down (left to right) so if a little guy on the right side needs a lot of HP remove your higher tier unit from the tile so the HP gain reaches the lowly, dying unit. On the second mission you start with two settlers if I am not mistaken.
